Strasbourg Airport (Aéroport de Strasbourg Entzheim – SXB) is around 10 km to the southwest of Strasbourg. It is the seventh busiest airport in France but the number of destinations served by regular airlines is surprisingly limited.
Low-cost airlines are a rare sight at Strasbourg Airport making true bargain basement tickets hard to find. Lack of competition on all routes also does not help. Local residents have a choice of cheap tickets on many charter flights flying especially in summer to Mediterranean holiday destinations.
- It makes sense to compare ticket prices and routings, as flights to some destinations are significantly cheaper than others. Flights to Paris – under an hour – can be particularly pricy when not part of a connecting flight to a further destination.
